The year started with a sold out performance of Piazzolla's The Seasons at the Peninsula Summer Music Festival.

Classics such as Adiós Nonino, Tangata and La Muerte del Angel took central place among some of Piazzolla's most famous songs. Nicholas Dinopoulos delivered riveting renditions of Chiquilín de Bachín,    Balada para un loco and Oblivion to name just a few.

On Friday February 8 Songmakers Australia performed a program of Gypsy songs from around the world at fortyfivedownstairs in the heart of Melbourne.
This eclectic venue and art gallery is a favorite with Melbourne audiences and the reception was very enthusiastic.

The rest of the year is very busy, with Songmakers performing 3 new programs at The Salon MRC and touring to Ballarat and Sydney.

Another highlight of this year is a performance at the famous Spiegeltent with Merlyn Quaife on February 27.

Two opera projects will occupy me this year.
In August I'll be Music Director for María de Buenos Aires, opera by Piazzolla presented by Victorian Opera in the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall at MRC.

The Auckland Philharmonia Opera in Concert this year is Stravinsky's The Rake Progress and I'll be working on the music preparation alongside conductor Eckehart Stier and also playing the huge harpsichord part in the performance.

Looking forward to seeing you at any and many of this concerts!
